The club is based just outside of Henley and only a few minutes away from Sonning Common.
There are six quality tennis courts (resurfaced only a few years ago), a new club house (built in January 2014), a practice wall, and four of the courts are floodlit allowing for play in the evenings and darker months. The club house is fully fitted out with a kitchen, toilets, changing areas, an inside seating area and a veranda looking over the courts.
So there are fantastic facilities here!
Players having coaching don’t have to be a member of the tennis club but there will be a guest fee to pay for non members. For juniors attending the coaching regularly it does work out cheaper to become a member and members benefit to access to the courts to play and practice!
If you park on the common outside the Red Lion pub – there is then a pathway to the left of the pub that leads straight to the tennis club – a lovely peaceful area away from the road and surrounded by trees and greenery!
Thank you for helping us arrange a date for Jamie's birthday and for always being so helpful and getting back to us so quickly.
Jamie had a great time today, as always Ollie, Andy and Christian were amazing with the children, we can't thank you all enough for everything... (especially helping to make it as 'stress free' for us as it can be!) ????
Please pass on our thanks to all again.
Sam and Joe love coming to tennis. They think coaches Ollie and Andy are great and the teaching is excellent. We totally recommend it!
I just wanted to say what a fantastic party Andy, Imogen and Beatrice put on for us. Finn and his friends had a fabulous time. It was really high octane and kept them all really engaged.
A big thank you and well done to Andy.
He’s loving the lessons and would very much like to continue next term. The coaches are so friendly and encouraging. It’s doing him a world of good.
It’s the coaches who really make his experience. Their enthusiasm and good humour is infectious and just what my son needs!
And as a teacher myself, I really appreciate the energy and effort it takes to constantly give out encouragement and targeted praise, designed to boost a player’s self-esteem and at the same time move their game practice forward.
